34 years ago I bought my first tiny brick home in a small town in upstate NY. My husband and I gutted and remodeled while living in the house with my young family. I worked out at a local interior decorator’s shop a couple of days a week and helped in wallpaper business as a paperhanger with my sister. I come from a family of overachievers. My brother is a famous wildlife artist, My other brother is a world champion softball pitcher. I myself chose business. I started my first business in Carthage NY. It was a small appliance and computer store. After running that for a time I added in Cellular one and became the first cellular phone store in the town. That eventually evolved into construction and contracting. Tired of the long cold winters we packed it up and moved to Fort Myers Fl with only the clothes on our backs and some tools.
My husband quickly took the steps to get a mechanical contractor’s license. We then started Corbett Cooling. A five-star air conditioning company. We have done the mechanical for some of the finest restaurants in South West Florida along with residential AC. Throughout this adventure, I found my skills best in customer service. My specialty has been with absentee owners and out-of-town residents. In doing so the most important thing I could offer my customers is trust. I have always had an interest in a real estate career for years. I have always thought it would be a way for me to help others by guiding them through the biggest investments of their lives.
